The Burrow Pt. 2

Walk Into The Sea

The debut album from Deer Park – Walk Into the Sea – is now available online, via Itunes and on CD. It is fucking incredible, seriously.

In Transit

Mark Brenndorfer is one of my best friends. A few weeks ago he left New Zealand for what could be forever. As well as front Mild America, he was a founding member of one of my favorite bands, This Night Creeps and a core member of Deer Park. There is no doubt in my mind Mark will continue to make music regardless of where he lives but for now I mourn my buddy’s departure. To say good bye to his adopted country and the friends that made it a home he has teamed up with Albert Mikoaj on a split release which is available below for as little as $0.

It makes me sad (both the split and that Mark has gone) but I hope you like it. Thanks Marky!

Mild America – Cold Mountain EP – Out Now

Mild America’s Cold Mountain EP is available now as a digital download. This is one of my favorite Mole releases of all time so I hope you will love it as much as I do. Cover design  by the always awesome Phillip Rosieur.

Mild America – Cold Mountain EP

Mild America’s new EP Cold Mountain comes out October 11th and to celebrate we are offering a free download of title track – Cold Mountain – which you can access by clicking on the poster below. Using the poetry of Chinese Tang dynasty recluse, Han Shan, as a point of reference, the new songs explore themes of isolation. They come out of a post-everything blues, and see Mild America trading in the bulk of their alt-country flavour and warm harmonies for a more spacious, maudlin, and dynamically erratic style.
